Roof Repair Smedway built its Hail Damage Roof Repair division around one idea: homeowners in West Liberty deserve a straight answer, a fair price, and a truck in the driveway fast.
Every technician on a Roof Repair Smedway crew earned their spot through years on real roofs in West Liberty, WV, not a two-week onboarding video — that's the difference customers notice the moment we pull up.
We carry full liability coverage and workers' compensation, and every lead installer holds current state licensing, so a claim adjuster, a home inspector, or your own insurance carrier can verify our credentials without a single awkward phone call.
Roofing is a trade where shortcuts hide for a year or two and then fail at the worst possible moment, usually during the next hard rain. We build every Hail Damage Roof Repair job — big or small — the same way, whether it's a single shingle repair or a full tear-off.
Verified licensing across West Liberty, WV with documentation available on request.
Emergency lines stay staffed through nights, weekends, and holidays.
You'll see the number before any work starts, not buried in a final invoice.
Technicians dispatched from within West Liberty, WV, not flown in from another region.
Most roof failures don't happen overnight — they build quietly for months before a homeowner notices the ceiling stain that finally forces the issue.
Heavy granule loss is one of the earliest visible clues that a roof is approaching the end of its service life.
Once a shingle starts warping, it's no longer sealing properly against wind-driven rain.
Climb into the attic on a sunny day — if you see pinpricks of daylight, water can get through the same gaps.
Sagging drywall or a soft spot underfoot in the attic usually points to sustained moisture damage, not a one-time drip.
Poor roof ventilation or compromised insulation from a slow leak can quietly push cooling costs up month over month.
Even one missing shingle can let enough water through to rot the decking underneath within a single storm season.
Not every roof problem calls for the same fix, which is why we scope each job individually instead of running every call through one generic estimate.
Active leaks after a storm get a same-day response whenever it's physically possible — a temporary tarp-down first, a permanent fix scheduled right behind it.
Every residential estimate walks the homeowner through material options, from standard architectural shingles to impact-rated upgrades.
We schedule commercial jobs around business hours whenever possible, minimizing disruption to tenants, staff, or foot traffic.
A full tear-off strips the roof down to the decking, replaces damaged boards, and installs a new underlayment and shingle system built to current code.
Post-storm inspections give homeowners a documented record for insurance purposes, whether or not a claim is ultimately filed.
Chimney crickets, skylight seals, and valley flashing are common leak points that general handyman work often gets wrong — our crews treat them as their own scope.
A dispatcher takes down your address, roof type, and the issue, then routes it to the nearest available crew in West Liberty, WV.
You get a plain-language explanation of what's actually happening, not just a repair quote.
Financing and insurance-claim assistance are discussed at this stage if applicable.
Once approved, the crew schedules the work and completes it to manufacturer spec, cleaning the property before leaving.
Because our teams are already local, we're rarely the company still driving in from three counties away.
Every job gets a written estimate before a single nail is pulled, so there's no surprise number waiting at the end.
Crews carry moisture meters, infrared scanners for larger jobs, and proper fall-protection gear on every site.
We'd rather send a crew back for a five-minute fix than leave a customer unsure whether the job was done correctly.
Our estimates are itemized in a format most carriers recognize, which speeds up claim approval.
Some jobs genuinely need a repair, not a replacement, and we'll tell you which one yours is.
A verbal promise doesn't hold up when you need it — that's why our guarantee is documented, dated, and handed to you at project close.
Material substitutions or unexpected decking damage found mid-job are always discussed with you first — we don't add line items after the fact and hope you don't notice.
We keep multiple crews staged across West Liberty, WV so that a storm hitting one part of the region doesn't leave the rest of West Liberty waiting.
If a storm system moves through West Liberty, WV and call volume spikes, we prioritize active leaks first and communicate realistic wait times for everything else rather than leaving people guessing.
